Golf Course Security Officer

Golf Course Security Officer

Location: Chicago, IL

Schedule: Friday-Monday 6:00 pm-6:00 am

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Job Summary: Seeking a reliable and professional Golf Course Security Officer to join our team in the Chicagoland area. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with the safety and security of golf course staff, members, and visitors while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be experienced in security operations and have strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CCTV systems and conduct regular patrols of the course, clubhouses, parking lots, and perimeter areas.
  • Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to disturbances, trespassing, theft, or medical emergencies.
  • Monitor who enters and exits the premises, especially after hours or during private events.
  • Document incidents clearly and professionally for internal records or law enforcement.

Qualifications:

  • 20-Hour Certificate: Completion of a 20-hour security training course.
  • PERC Card: Ability to obtain a valid Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC).
  • Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a security or similar role preferred.
  • Ability to stay alert and focused during overnight shifts.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle emergencies calmly and professionally.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
  • Ability to respond quickly to any incidents or emergencies.
