The Skilled Labor position supports the installation of golf course irrigation systems by performing a variety of manual labor tasks under the direction of the Irrigation Foreman or Superintendent. This role is essential to building high-quality irrigation systems and requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with installation of irrigation systems, including pipe, valves, fittings, wiring, and sprinkler heads.
  • Perform trenching, backfilling, compaction, and site cleanup activities.
  • Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment around the job site.
  • Operate simple equipment such as utility vehicles and dump trucks.
  • Cut, glue, and assemble HDPE or PVC pipe according to instructions and specifications.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Take direction from foremen and supervisors and work effectively as part of a crew.
  • Learn basic irrigation concepts, materials, and construction techniques.

What we look for:

  • 1-3 years' experience in irrigation installation with golf course irrigation experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions for extended periods.
  • Willingness to learn and operate irrigation equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license preferred.
  • Ability to travel to job sites across the United States.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, dig, and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to work in varied weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and Saturday.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
