Summary:

The Greenskeeper provides outstanding golf experience for membership by producing premier playing conditions on our championship golf course. We utilize dedication to excellence and teamwork daily to achieve this goal together. The Greenskeeper will provide daily maintenance to the golf course and grounds under supervision of the assistant superintendent or foreman.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Operates various types of equipment, including but not limited to: walk behind mowers, triplex mowers, large area reel and rotary style mowers, blowers, sprayers, various heavy equipment and hand-held tools and equipment around the golf course greens, tees, fairways, and rough playing surfaces.
  • Operates smaller equipment such as bunker raking (hand and machine rakes).
  • Golf course construction projects: irrigation repair and installation, drainage installation, bunker construction, seeding of turf.
  • Landscape construction: irrigation repair and maintenance, sod installation, and plant material installation.
  • Clubhouse lawn care and landscaping: zero turn ride-on mowing, push mowing, string trimming, bed and mechanical edging, mulching, and pruning.
Requirements:

Minimum Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1-year golf course/landscape maintenance experience, preferred
  • Driver’s License, required
  • Proficient understanding of the game of Golf, preferred
  • Knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of motorized equipment
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, periodically
  • Flexible schedule (weekend work, as needed; day shifts only); typical schedule options as follow:
  • Sunday – Thursday: 6:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday – Saturday: 6:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • Similar shift days with work hours between 6:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
  • Seasonal position: March through November
  • Exposure to all weather conditions
