As an assistant golf professional, your job duties include doing club fittings and repairs, serving as course attendant, and checking golfers in and out according to their tee times. You need strong customer service skills and an understanding of golf to pursue a career as an assistant golf professional. Earning qualifications like the A-8 certification from the Professional Golf Association (PGA) may make you a more qualified candidate during your job search.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an assistant golf professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Assistant Golf Professional, you need a solid understanding of golf fundamentals, customer service experience, and often certification from the PGA or similar organizations. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, tee time management software, and golf instruction tools is typically required.
