Job description

The Assistant Golf Professional will assist in the daily golf operations, including providing exceptional customer service to guests, managing merchandise, and operating POS system to complete transactions. They will also oversee the Golf Shop and Outside Service Attendants to ensure a smooth and effective process is offered to our guests.
This is a full-time regular position. Compensation ranging from $24-$28 per hour with additional income from lessons (80/20 split) and merchandising commissions.
CORE RESPOSNSIBILITIES
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pro shop, practice areas, and golf carts.
  • Operate golf cart fleet efficiently and safely, ensuring adherence to course policies and procedures.
  • Schedule tee time reservations and manage changes to schedule.
  • Support the management of golf events, tournaments, and leagues, including organization, set, scoring, and coordination of logistics.
  • Provide support to the General Manager and other staff members as needed to ensure smooth operations of the facility.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of golf tournament operations and event management.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively and professionally with members, guests, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in golf instruction techniques and equipment fitting.

EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING
  • PGA Member or Associate in good standing preferred, but not required
