Job description

Position Summary

The Golf Shop Concierge is responsible for delivering an exceptional golf experience by providing personalized service to members and guests while supporting the daily operations of the Golf Shop. This position serves as a primary point of contact for golf-related inquiries, tee time reservations, merchandise sales, tournament registration, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is organized, service-driven, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding The Boca Raton's luxury hospitality standards.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Welcome members and guests with a warm, professional, and personalized approach. 
  • Answer telephone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries promptly and professionally. 
  • Coordinate tee time reservations, tournament registrations, and daily golf activities. 
  • Maintain organized member and guest email communications, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries, confirmations, and event information. 
  • Process retail merchandise sales while maintaining an organized, visually appealing Golf Shop. 
  • Assist with merchandising, inventory organization, receiving shipments, and product displays. 
  • Support daily Golf Shop opening and closing procedures. 
  • Assist with tournament operations, scoring, and event registration. 
  • Utilize Jonas Club Management Software to manage tee sheets, member accounts, reservations, and daily golf operations. 
  • Maintain accurate records and administrative files using Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • Ensure the Golf Shop remains clean, organized, and stocked throughout the day. 


Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with special events, member outings, and club tournaments. 
  • Support Golf Professionals and Outside Services during peak business periods. 
  • Help maintain retail inventory counts and communicate ordering needs. 
  • Coordinate with other Golf Operations departments to ensure seamless member experience. 
  • Participate in departmental meetings and ongoing training. 
  • Perform additional duties assigned by Golf Management. 


Service Expectations

  • Deliver personalized service consistent with The Boca Raton's luxury hospitality standards. 
  • Build positive relationships with members and guests through exceptional communication and attention to detail. 
  • Maintain a polished, professional appearance and demeanor. 
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills while managing multiple priorities. 
  • Take ownership of responsibilities and work collaboratively with the Golf Operations team. 
  • Protect member information and maintain confidentiality. 


Qualifications

  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and organizational skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and comfortable learning and utilizing Jonas Club Management Software. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining organized member and guest communications. 
  • Previous golf, retail, hospitality, or private club experience preferred.



Education/Experience Requirements

High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required

Physical Requirements
Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
