Position Summary:
Private west side country club is seeking a Club Manager. The Club Manager is responsible for the overall management, leadership and strategic direction of all food, beverage and sales operations at the club. This role ensures exceptional food and beverage experiences for members and guests while maintaining high standards of service, quality, financial performance and staff development. The Club Manager works closely with ownership to ensure the club delivers and upholds the club’s mission, culture and long-term vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Operations
  • -Oversee daily operations of the Grill Room, Bar, Kitchen, Banquet Facilities (including golf tournaments), 9 ½ grill and all sales department operations.
  • -Ensure exceptional service standards and a welcoming environment for members and guests.
  • -Maintain high standards for food quality, beverage programs, cleanliness and presentation.
  • -Develop and enforce policies, procedures and service standards.
  • -Foster a positive culture focused on hospitality, teamwork and member satisfaction.

Member Experience
  • -Build strong relationships with club members and proactively address feedback.
  • -Ensure a personalized, high-touch hospitality experience aligned with private club standards.
  • -Oversee programming, events and activities that enhance member engagement and club utilization.
Financial Management
  • -Develop and manage annual food and beverage budgets.
  • To assist the sales manager in developing (and monitoring throughout the year), the annual event sales & marketing budget/strategies.
  • -Monitor revenue, costs and profitability across all F&B operations.
  • -Control labor and inventory costs while maintaining service quality.
  • -Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve performance.
Team Leadership
  • -Recruit, train and mentor managers and staff within the F&B department.
  • -Foster a positive, professional and service-driven culture.
  • -Conduct performance evaluations and support career development.
Event & Banquet Oversight
  • -Coordinate with the events team to deliver exceptional private functions, tournaments, weddings and club events.
  • -Oversee planning, staffing and execution of all banquet events.

Grill Room & Bar Services
  • -Manage wine, beer, and spirits programs including purchasing, inventory and pricing.
  • -Develop creative beverage offerings and member tastings or special events.
  • -Ensure exceptional service and cleanliness as well as uniform and personal health & grooming standards.
  • -Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation and alcohol service regulations.
  • -Maintain proper licensing, training certifications and risk management practices.

Culinary Operations
  • -Ensure compliance with all health, safety and sanitation regulations.
  • -Work directly with the Executive Chef and/or Kitchen -Manager to ensure outstanding food quality, creativity and presentation standards.
  • To ensure that all menus throughout the club are updated and adjusted seasonally as required to do so.
Sales Department Operations
  • -To ensure that the Sales Manager is aggressively seeking new business opportunities throughout the year (ie: -Maintaining an effective and user -friendly website, effective marketing & promotional strategies, setting and achieving aggressive sales goals, etc…).
  • -Ensuring a solid and effective Social Media presence across all appropriate media platforms.
  • -Weekly sales meetings and updates.

Qualifications
  • -Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • -5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in food and beverage management, preferably in private clubs, luxury hospitality or resorts.
  • -Strong financial acumen with budgeting and cost control experience.
  • -Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
  • -Exceptional member service and communication abilities.
