Golf Analytics information

What is golf analytics?

A Golf Analytics job involves analyzing data related to golf performance, player statistics, course conditions, and other relevant metrics to improve decision-making for players, coaches, or organizations. Professionals in this field use statistical models, tracking technology, and software tools to evaluate player swings, optimize strategies, and gain competitive advantages. This role may be found in professional golf teams, sports technology companies, or coaching environments. Strong skills in data analysis, programming, and golf knowledge are typically required.

What does a typical workday look like for someone working in golf analytics?

A typical day in Golf Analytics involves collecting and analyzing player and game data, preparing performance reports, and working closely with coaches and athletes to translate data into actionable strategies. You might use various software tools to evaluate swing technique, shot selection, and course management, often presenting findings in meetings or through visual dashboards. Collaboration is frequent, as you’ll regularly partner with coaching staff, biomechanists, and sometimes technology vendors. The role can also include monitoring live events and supporting post-tournament reviews to identify trends and areas for improvement.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in golf analytics, and why are they important?

To thrive in Golf Analytics, you need a strong background in data analysis, statistical modeling, and a solid understanding of golf performance metrics, often supported by a degree in statistics, mathematics, sports science, or a related field. Familiarity with analytics tools such as Python, R, SQL, and golf tracking software is highly valued. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork are important soft skills for collaborating with coaches, players, and other stakeholders. These qualifications enable Golf Analytics professionals to deliver actionable insights that improve player performance and strategic decision-making.

Job description

We're looking for Grounds Crew Members to be part of something special: shaping and maintaining a golf experience unlike any other. This isn't just mowing grass-it's bringing a course to life and keeping it at its best. You'll work alongside an experienced team through every phase-from grow-in to full operation-ensuring the land is cared for and the turf performs at the highest level. One day, you might be seeding fairways. The next, you're watering by hand to keep dust down or prepping greens for their morning cut. This is work for those who love the outdoors, don't mind getting their hands dirty, and want to see the impact of their work every day.

Where soul-stirring golf meets the spirit of the American West.

Rodeo Dunes is a public golf resort developed by Michael Keiser, owner of Sand Valley Resort. Set on over 4,000 acres of towering sand dunes reminiscent of the southwest coast of Ireland, Rodeo Dunes is set to become a world-class golf destination. Two course routings are complete - one by the acclaimed duo of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, and the other marking the solo debut of longtime C&C associate, Jimmy Craig. Construction began in the summer of 2024. With a rollicking, sandy dunescape, welcoming Western hospitality, and inspiring long views of the Rocky Mountains, Rodeo Dunes will introduce guests to a historic - but new to many - region of Colorado. Rodeo Dunes is located less than an hour from Denver and Denver International Airport, and just a short drive from the Fort Collins and Colorado Springs areas. The resort will embody similar philosophies and values that have made Bandon Dunes and Sand Valley two of the world's top golf destinations.

What You'll Do:
  • Support turf grow-in and ongoing course maintenance across tees, fairways, and greens
  • Hand-pick sticks and debris to keep playing surfaces clean and playable (because details matter)
  • Manage irrigation and hand-water to control dust, support turf establishment, and maintain playing conditions
  • Fertilize, seed, and nurture turf through grow-in and into peak playing condition
  • Mow and maintain turf to course standards as grow-in progresses and play increases
  • Work outside in all kinds of weather-because nature doesn't take a day off
  • Adapt seamlessly between grow-in responsibilities and full maintenance operations as the resort evolves
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks on the golf course, grounds, maintenance facility, and clubhouse as assigned
  • Handle equipment safely whether in an active grow-in environment or routine maintenance operations
What You Bring:
  • Experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, or similar work?
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate equipment.
  • An understanding that safety comes first-especially around heavy machinery.
  • A positive attitude, a team mindset, and the ability to take direction.
  • The ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects (up to 100 lbs. occasionally).
  • The stamina to be on your feet, in motion, and engaged with the land for extended periods.
$16 - $22 an hour
