Are you an analytical client professional with a passion for financial planning? The GS PFO planning advisory team are experts are delivering complex and customized financial planning solutions, including tax planning and preparation, estate planning, cash flow planning, benefits and compensation planning, risk management and insurance plannings, charitable giving planning etc., to meet the needs of our sophisticated high net worth clientele. We are seeking professionals with an understanding of and interest in financial planning and taxes, who wants to grow in a fast-paced, detail oriented and highly visible client service team. Additionally, strong communication skills, ownership mindset, and prioritizing delivery of best in class client service is critical for success in this role.

Goldman Partner Office (GPO)

GPO provides bespoke and comprehensive financial planning and wealth management services to current and former Partners of Goldman Sachs, and their families.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Execute tax planning, projection and review (US and foreign) of high-net-worth families, including:
  • Working closely with clients and external experts to gather all information required for filings, quarterly and as required.
  • Preparing extension estimates
  • Preparing tax equalization computations, etc.
  • Conduct cash flow analysis
  • Prepare net worth statements
  • Create estate flowcharts, wills, execute wealth transfer processes
  • Coordinate philanthropic giving, etc.
  • Work closely with investment experts to deliver best in class client service

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and/or personal income tax/accounting
  • CFPs, CPAs and CFAs strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge in financial planning, taxation and client service is a bonus
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional, polished communication skills (written and verbal), including client communication
  • Ownership mindset, proactivity
  • Proven track record of team orientation
  • Enthusiastic, positive, solution oriented
  • SIE, Series 6, Series 7 and Series 66 required (must be completed within first 3 months of employment)

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $80000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
