Job description

Our organization is on the lookout for a Family Medicine Physician to become a part of our skilled team at the Tanana Valley Clinic, which is recognized as the largest and most comprehensive locally operated clinic in Alaska.

The Opportunity:

Become a member of a family medicine clinic with over 60 years of dedicated service to the Fairbanks community. This clinic is integrated within a vast multidisciplinary health system, catering to patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. Our healthcare providers address a wide array of acute issues as well as manage ongoing chronic conditions. Working in our rural health system allows physicians to enjoy a diverse scope of practice and play an active role in overseeing complex patient care. The clinic fosters a collaborative atmosphere, where family medicine physicians and advanced practice providers unite to meet the community's healthcare needs.

  • Compensation: Guaranteed $300k in the first year! The average total annual compensation, including base salary and production, ranges from $350k to $400k. Additionally, a $65k sign-on bonus is offered, along with eligibility for an annual $10k physician incentive quality metric bonus.

  • Schedule: Comprising 32 hours dedicated to patient care and 8 hours for administrative tasks each week. Enjoy 7 weeks of Approved Time Off (ATO) and 2 weeks allocated for Continuing Medical Education (CME).

  • Patient Panel: Engage with a diverse range of patient acuities and populations, averaging 18 patients per day.

  • Team: Our clinic is made up of physicians, advanced practice providers, registered nurses, medical assistants, pharmacists, virtual scribes, and a robust administrative support team.
