Job description

Background
Are you passionate about improving outcomes for students and experienced in navigating complex education systems? At Goalbook, our mission is to empower teachers to transform instruction so that ALL students can succeed. We partner with 1,100+ school districts in 48 states, working closely with district and school leaders to create scalable change to instructional practice. We're looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our growing team.
Role Summary
We are seeking a Strategic Account Sales Executive to own and advance a defined territory of the largest, most high-impact school districts in the nation. In this role, you will act as a consultant and orchestrator, navigating multi-layered decision-making environments to close transformative deals. We aren't just looking for a top closer; we are looking for a force multiplier who will elevate our organization's strategic selling capabilities within our nation's largest school systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead end-to-end sales cycles across a defined territory of complex, high-impact school district accounts, conducting senior administrator-level discovery to align district strategic priorities, funding streams, and instructional initiatives with Goalbook's solutions.
- Design and execute tailored account strategies, navigating extended, multi-stakeholder buying environments to maintain momentum and drive successful closes.
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with cabinet-level and senior school district leaders and key stakeholders, positioning Goalbook as a long-term strategic partner rather than a transactional vendor.
- Architect deal structures that enable sustained instructional impact and lay the foundation for long-term expansion.
- Translate large district buyer insights into actionable feedback that informs product roadmap decisions and strengthens enterprise messaging.
- Rigorously maintain and forecast pipeline across complex, multi-year enterprise sales opportunities.
- Elevate the team's sales capabilities by collaborating with peers and exchanging market knowledge and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 4+ years of sales in the K-12 EdTech industry with demonstrated success closing large school district deals. Special Education solution-related experience preferred.
- Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to manage multi-year sales cycles and navigate complex and matrixed decision-making environments.
- Executive Presence: Comfortable and persuasive when engaging with the highest-level administrators at the nation's largest school districts.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to align solutions with customer budgets and long-term strategic initiatives.
- Proven track record as part of a collaborative and high-performing sales team.
Benefits
- $110-150k salary range, based on experience and location, plus commissions on new revenue, including multi-year tails
- Full medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Safe Harbor 401k matching
- Open vacation policy and flexible schedule
- Goalbook Parental and Family Leave policy
- Goalbook Universal Basic Income
- Goalbook Annual Profit Sharing
- A truly motivated, passionate, and fun team. We're collectively interested in helping you grow in your career.
