Job description

  • From Desk to Door Follow the APB sales strategy in full, this is the only acceptable selling process.
  • Reach or exceed monthly sales objectives through effective application of sales skills;
  • Overcome objections within the sales process;
  • Continuously maintain and apply product, market and systems knowledge to satisfy customer needs and to meet sales objectives;
  • Greet customers in a pleasant manner and determine what each customer 

wants or needs;

  • Recommend vehicles based on customers' wants and needs;
  • Properly and accurately answers customers' questions and maximize customer satisfaction;
  • Thoroughly explain the benefits, features and use of vehicle;
  • Provide a complete, proper and educational demo drive for each potential customer;
  • Introduce sold customer to a business manager;
  • Plan and organize daily routine regarding customer follow up, delivery schedules and sales planning;
  • Maintain current product knowledge, benefits, warranties, financing, leasing and features through independent research and by attending factory and Company training sessions as required;
  • Maintain current factory certification completing mandatory testing;
  • Attend all mandatory APB in-house sales strategy training;
  • Prospect customers on and off the dealership on a regular basis with timely follow-ups of referrals and sold customers by telephone and e-mails;
  • Thoroughly understand and execute special pricing plans and discount rates;
  • Monitor customer's preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts;
  • Assist in resolving customers' complaints regarding sales and service problems;
  • Obtain management approval before offering any discount or incentive to customer and before contracting for any advertising;
  • Attend and participate in off showroom floor activities as required;
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring, and prepare annual sales and delivery forecasts;
  • Maintain accurate files on all sold and unsold customers;
  • Maintain a current, accurate knowledge of all new and used inventory;
  • Work as a team member with each department of the organization;
  • Assist in keeping inventory and lots in a pleasant, clean and snow free environment;
  • Notify switchboard of arrival, departure or absence from the showroom.

Knowledge of:  customer relations, proper sales techniques, working with team, computer operations, software applications, record keeping procedures.

Skill in:   verbal and written communication, reading and understanding, customer relations and management, computer operations.

Ability to: work with people, work as team member, work independently, manage time effectively, follow and support Organization’s goals and objectives.

Physical demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, handle objects, keyboards or controls, and reach with hands and arms.  The employee frequently is required to stand and sit.  The employee is required to walk, stoop, kneel, talk and hear.  The employee is required to work both inside and outside the building in all types of weather conditions.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.  Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
