Supply chain at Schreiber Foods includes activities related to demand planning, production planning, capacity and inventory management, sourcing and purchasing/replenishment of raw materials, distribution, redistribution, and transportation management.

This role offers a flexible hybrid work schedule (Monday-Friday) located at our Home Office in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The hybrid work schedule is 3 days/week onsite at Home Office and 2 days/week from home.

This position is responsible for the following:

  • Lead export transportation planning team in all areas of execution including booking, filing, settlement, and analytics all while maintaining best in class service levels.

  • Ownership of sourcing and business planning for steamship, NVOCC, and transloading partner.s

  • Provide consultation and recommendations to export commercial team to support freight pricing.

  • Develop new, and optimize current metrics in order to drive improvement to both cost and service.

  • Responsible for investigation and corrective claim action if applicable associated with transportation related outages.

  • Work cross functionally with Transportation Systems Partners to enhance telematics visibility for both internal and external purposes.

What you'll do:

  • Direct transportation team activities to drive improvement in the areas of cost and service.

  • Develop strategy to ensure sufficient carrier capacity year-round to meet all demands; customer, interplant, and inbound shipments.

  • Responsible for setting the strategy with Sales to ensure we are recovering outbound freight costs from our customers.

  • Develop SFI culture, train, coach, and evaluate the transportation planners to drive the continuous improvement.

  • Support systematic and operational domestic shuttle operations through contract reviews, RFPs where applicable, and regular service check in's with providers.

  • Partner with sales, operations, purchasing, logistics, and distribution to develop plans to optimize the entire supply chain.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelors in Transportation, Logistics, Distribution, Customer Service or related field

  • Demonstrated knowledge of building and developing end-to-end, best practice supply and demand processes

  • 5+ years of direct and progressive management experience across multiple areas of business in production, replenishment/purchasing, distribution, logistics and demand planning

  • Strong interpersonal skills and high initiative to execute daily functions while strategically driving process improvement Partner development

  • Technical knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Transportation Processes, Supply Chain, and Operations

  • Prior experience with BluJay TMS and FourKites Telematics software is preferred

  • Oral and Written Communication

  • Ability to learn system skills on own; adaptability

  • Technical/Professional self-development

  • Global Transportation and freight claims experience desired
