The Global Technical Consultant Corporate Accounts serves as a strategic technical partner for corporate clients, delivering expert guidance and project management to ensure compliance, efficiency, and harmonization across global operations. This service is a key differentiator for Ecolab's existing and potential customers.

Position Purpose:

The Global Technical Consultant Corporate Accounts is responsible for partnering with Corporate Customers bridging technical expertise with client needs, driving innovation and regulatory alignment in cleaning, disinfection and automated bio-decontamination processes. The role is responsible for liaising and partnering with technical corporate pharmaceutical leaders to share industry insights, identifying and communicating market trends and change drivers, and supporting with the creation of technical materials when required. The Global Technical Consultant Corporate Accounts closely collaborates with Corporate Account Managers to support strategic growth plans within accounts and have a strong understanding of the Ecolab Life Sciences business (financials, growth drivers, customer segmentation) and the markets it serves.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical consulting services that leverage the company's intellectual property and areas of expertise to assist the sales force to understand and meet customers' needs and increase account revenue
  • Support and manage projects encompassing all aspects of technical support, ensuring alignment with the latest regulatory requirements. Collaborate with internal technical teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client objectives.
  • Build strong technical relationships with corporate clients, supporting their internal projects related to cleaning and disinfection. Identify opportunities for Ecolab to enhance efficiency, compliance, and harmonization, reducing site-level workload. Act as a technical ambassador for Ecolab, representing the company's value proposition in direct client interactions.
  • Support multi-site validation projects, advising on methodology, organism/surface selection, and experimental design. Maintain professional relationships with contract testing laboratories, manage customer test projects, and provide rationales for results to support site-level implementation.
  • Work closely with the Corporate Account Management team to ensure alignment on objectives and provide comprehensive visibility into client needs.
  • Work closely with Global Technical Consultants providing regional technical services to Corporate Account sites to ensure consistency to global account technical strategy.
  • Be a well-regarded industry expert or SME called upon to present and/or teach at industry conferences, groups or forums. Provide industry thought leadership; present at seminars globally, industry-specific events, present specialist topics; help shape the industry through publications, articles, presentations, etc. to position Ecolab as industry experts leading the field.
  • Support product and service innovation; leveraging industry experience and technical knowledge to create new and scalable offerings (e.g., know the challenges customers face using Ecolab services and products; keep up to date with changes in the industry (e.g., regulations); work with marketing to develop strategies for segments; working on campaigns, identifying "compelling events" that the sales team can utilize to drive outcomes that create customer value).

Position Details:

This is a remote position. While the ideal candidate would be based in Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, or North Carolina, we are open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S., provided they reside near a major airport to accommodate travel requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc or equivalent) degree in Life Sciences
  • Experience in senior Microbiology or Quality Assurance roles within the Pharmaceutical industry
  • Extensive experience in GMP production sites
  • Experience in understanding/troubleshooting including investigation and CAPAs
  • Experience designing and delivering technical training.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks for the Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel 50%+ of time globally
  • Clean drivers license and ability to apply for travel visas
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree (MSc or equivalent) in Life Sciences, preferably in Microbiology/Chemistry/Biotechnology
  • Demonstrated proficiency with internal or external auditing
  • Knowledge/experience of change control processes
  • Strong knowledge of CIP/COP and Cleaning Validation best practices
  • Strong knowledge of EN/AOAC disinfectant efficacy standard test methods and mode of action of disinfectants
  • Experience with automated bio-decontamination and validation
  • Experience with Isolator Technology and Qualification
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and prioritize multiple projects with strong follow-through
  • Flexibility to work on and control different projects at the same time while still meeting set deadlines
  • Knowledge of regional regulatory frameworks [INSERT e.g. EMA, MHRA, FDA, HPRA, TGA].
  • Fluent in additional language - [INSERT REGIONAL LANGAUGE AS REQUIRED]

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The total Compensation range for this position is $128,600-$193,000 which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
