The Senior Director, Global Social Media Initiatives will lead the global integrated strategy and development of Sephora's key social and influencer programs. Embedded within the U.S.-based Social and Influencer teams and serving as Sephora's "lead design market," this role will oversee the global evolution of flagship influencer programs such as the Sephora Squad, while spearheading new social initiatives across all Sephora markets. The role requires close collaboration with Global Marketing and Merchandising teams, regional Social and Influencer leads, and senior leadership across the organization to scale social innovation, foster global synergies, and inspire marketโ€‘based teams to adopt best practices.

What youโ€™ll do
  • Lead and champion Sephoraโ€™s key global social and influencer initiatives, including flagship creator programs, in partnership with U.S. and regional Social & Influencer teams
  • Serve as the U.S.-based design market, defining global frameworks while enabling local market adoption and execution
  • Partner with Global Brand Marketing and Integrated Marketing teams on social strategy, storytelling, and execution for key global campaigns
  • Support U.S. Influencer teams on global activations involving international markets and creators
  • Build and scale a global social governance, analytics, and reporting ecosystem to drive insights, learning, and bestโ€‘practice sharing across markets
  • Leverage social data and performance insights to inform strategy and decisionโ€‘making
  • Spearhead social innovation across markets, including emerging platforms, AI, social commerce, and new creator models
  • Foster crossโ€‘market influencer synergies and partner with global leadership on reputational management across social platforms
  • Evangelize the Sephora community across senior levels of the organization while fostering a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive culture
What youโ€™ll bring
  • 12+ years of experience in social media marketing or influencer marketing
  • 5+ years of experience managing and developing marketing teams in the social and influencer space
  • Experience working in a global or multiโ€‘market role; international experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of social platforms, creator ecosystems, and performance analytics
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across senior stakeholders and global teams
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
Working Conditions
  • This role is primarily officeโ€‘based with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements
  • Flexible working hours are required to support collaboration across multiple time zones, including early mornings with Europe and evenings with Asia
  • International travel is required to support global market partnerships and activations

The annual base salary range for this position is $206,380.00- $230,660.00. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include the applicantโ€™s qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education, certifications, and other legitimate, nonโ€‘discriminatory business factors specific to the position. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
