JOB SUMMARY

The Global Services Sales Manager enhances departmental profitability by leading sales efforts for Global Services, supervising FX Bankers, and pursuing independent business development. They work closely with Commercial Bankers, Relationship Managers, Retail Banking Center personnel and Lending staff to serve as the primary sales leader for Global Services. The Global Services Sales Manager provides insight into potential growth and identifies potential customers. They focus on identifying international business opportunities, expanding the international customer base, responding to customer inquiries, explaining products and services, and directing customers to appropriate bank personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Represents Vantage Bank and Global Solutions in internal and external settings for Currency Exchange, Forwards and Derivatives, Hedge Products, FX Credit Lines and International Trade Letter of Credit.

  • Partners across the Vantage Bank organization to target and build opportunities for Global Services solutions and depository business.

  • Achieves annual performance metrics for new business sales, call efforts, revenue growth, client retention, and profitability.

  • Manages and maintains an accurate and timely sales pipeline.

  • Serve as a mentor to the FX Bankers, increasing their industry, system and sales acumen.

  • Contributes to the product development process with market-based knowledge, client/prospect feedback, and a balanced business- based approach.

  • Reviews and evaluates regular reports of branch activities, potential customers, cold visits, new prospects.

  • Identify potential customers and follow up on cold visits.

  • Conducts presentations in a mix of settings and follows up with visits after the events for prospects.

  • Travels within the US and Mexico for potential customers, follows up visits, system integration and online platform implementation.

  • Provides detailed reporting and leads to the branch network and Market Presidents with periodic monitoring and follow up.

  • Promotes sales culture and ensure that the staff receives proper training to demonstrate the abilities to sell Global Services products, reach sales goals.

  • Evaluates potential prospects in the region, develop partnership with sales representatives, Commercial lenders, Branch managers and TMO services for opportunities for business development.

  • Constantly enhances and implements the sales plan to ensure that branches meet their income goals.

  • Supports FX Banker to quote exchange rates to customers and branches.

  • Deals transactions with liquidity providers and manage the foreign currency risk position exposure following internal procedures.

  • Ensures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations, which include BSA, CIP, and OFAC requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities and organizational limitations may result in some deviation from these guidelines.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required. Finance or Economics degree strongly preferred.

  • 5+ years of prior banking experience with international clientele.

  • 3 years of prior experience relating to foreign currency markets and it's derivatives.

  • Bilingual- English/Spanish required

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

  • Well versed in wire transfer fulfillment and processing both domestic and international.

  • Experienced in implementing measures to minimize security, fraud, and customer risk when processing and/or servicing.

  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and the ability to learn and utilize custom banking systems and applications in a rapidly changing business and technology environment.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while performing assigned duties.

  • Excellent analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, high level of accountability, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to always maintain a high degree of ethical standards and complete confidentiality.
