Job description

  • Reports to the Finance organization, but the position is embedded within purchasing operations
  • Acting as liaison between purchasing operations and every respective finance function (purchasing, finance, accounting, treasury, etc.)
  • Supporting commodity division in achievement of their business plan objectives
  • Supporting the efficient and timely development, tracking and implementation of savings initiatives
  • Reviewing all proposed economic increase contract changes (contractual and discretionary) to ensure the appropriate level of analysis and scrutiny has been completed prior to granting approvals
  • Actively participating in sourcing process, providing financial guidance, and enforcing corporate controls
  • Conducting non-standard contract reviews prior to finalization to ensure proper reviews and governance
  • Acting as North America finance representative within extended global purchasing team

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in order to guide purchasing operations
  • Motivated, self-starter with ability to work independently and multi-task
  • Excellent written, oral and listening communication skills
  • Attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the general purchase-to-pay process and big picture view of the product cost development process
  • Familiarity with SOX and audit requirements
