Job description

Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.
Global Power Components is a privately held, financially sound, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. As a result of our continuing expansion and continued organization growth, we are looking for a motivated
Enterprise Systems Director that can turn our systems into a competitive advantage.
This role will own and evolve the systems that run the business, with a primary focus on ERP and AI-driven transformation. This is not a traditional IT leadership role. You will be responsible for turning Epicor into a competitive advantage, leading practical AI adoption, and driving the transition from manual processes to scalable, data-driven operations. We are looking for a builder and operator - someone who can move between strategy and execution, simplify complexity, and deliver systems that are actually used by the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Epicor ERP Ownership (Primary)
  • Own the strategy, performance, and roadmap for Epicor ERP
  • Lead enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and user adoption across manufacturing, finance, and supply chain
  • Drive process standardization and system-driven execution (not workarounds)
  • Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and system reliability
  • Build and lead internal/external Epicor resources

AI Strategy & Execution (Core Priority)
  • Define and execute a practical AI strategy tied to real business outcomes
  • Identify and implement use cases across:
    • Production planning
    • Forecasting
    • Reporting & analytics
    • Workflow automation
  • Pilot, validate, and scale AI solutions with measurable ROI
  • Embed AI into daily operations, not isolated experiments

Systems, Data & Integration
  • Own ERP-centered system architecture across the enterprise
  • Lead integrations between Epicor and:
    • HR systems (Workday or equivalent)
    • CRM
    • Shop floor / MES systems
  • Improve data architecture, reporting, and decision visibility
  • Reduce system complexity and technical debt

Program Leadership & Execution
  • Own the IT portfolio roadmap across ERP, AI, and systems initiatives
  • Establish clear KPIs, reporting cadence, and delivery discipline
  • Drive predictable execution across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Ensure alignment between business priorities and technology delivery

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Deep Epicor ERP experience (required) - Proven ownership of Epicor in a manufacturing environment, including optimization, enhancements, integrations, or full-scale implementations
  • Demonstrated ability to drive ERP-enabled process transformation
Experience moving organizations from manual or fragmented processes to system-driven execution
  • Experience defining and implementing AI, automation, or advanced analytics solutions
Ability to identify practical use cases and deliver measurable business impact (not experimentation)
  • Strong program management capability
Proven track record managing multi-year, cross-functional initiatives with clear KPIs, timelines, and accountability
  • Experience with enterprise systems architecture and integration
Including ERP, HR systems (e.g., Workday), CRM, and shop floor/MES systems
  • Background in manufacturing, industrial, or operational environments (required)
Strong understanding of how systems support production, supply chain, and shop floor operations
  • Ability to operate as both:
    • Strategic leader (roadmaps, prioritization, executive alignment)
    • Hands-on operator (problem solving, system decisions, execution)
  • Proven ability to drive user adoption and change management
Ensuring systems are not just implemented, but embedded into daily operations
  • Strong communication and influence skills
Able to work across operations, finance, engineering, and executive leadership

Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (required)
  • Master's degree (MBA, MS IT, Engineering Management) preferred
  • Cloud, AI, or cybersecurity certifications a plus
