Global Product Manager at DICKEY-john
The Upstream Global Product Manager leads new product development (NPD) efforts for the DICKEY-john business within TSI. This role is responsible for identifying business opportunities, conducting Voice of Customer (VOC), developing value propositions, and associated business and product requirements for hardware, software, and services. This role leads the launching of new products and is responsible for NPD metrics, provides strategic input for, and the ownership of, the NPD pipeline, by defining the key trends and technology roadmap for the DICKEY-john business. 

This position is a key member of the DICKEY-john leadership team that sets business objectives and communicates direction and vision internally to senior management and externally to key customers. This position collaborates closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and others in the definition and execution of planned initiatives, designed to optimize growth and profitability of TSI's Agriculture products.

 

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of the New Product Development (NPD) pipeline for the DICKEY-john business, including short-, medium-, and long-term projects
  • Identify trends within the Ag and adjacent industries, and develop actionable insights for strategic direction
  • Define, create, and execute primary and secondary market research to evolve and support new product development concepts
  • Provide project leadership throughout the product development process, partnering cross-functionally with PMO, Engineering, Sales, and others
  • Lead product launch planning and execution and support with key customers, industries, and other partners
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate new and changing market dynamics, including competitive offerings and positioning, industry trends, regulatory shifts, and other drivers
  • Participate in cross-functional planning to develop product expansion and service strategies; lead cross-functional teams to develop the business case for key product and market development opportunities
  • Partner with Sales to present concepts and ideas to key customers, answering questions and supporting strategic platform development virtually and in-person, when required
  • Support business development through opportunities assessment, valuation, communication, and future planning

What Do You Need?
Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering/Science, or related field
  • 5+ years progressive Product Management
  • Complex project leadership in a matrixed organization
  • Strong strategic thinking and collaborative leadership skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to independently prioritize
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective and influential presentation skills
  • Understanding of Strategic Market Plans, voice of customer work, marketing frameworks, competitive assessments, pricing tools and techniques
  • P&L Management experience
  • Global marketplace experience

Desired

  • MBA
  • B2B experience or working with OEMs
  • Engineering, Instrumentation and/or Operational experience
  • Experience in Precision Agricultural Technology, farming principles and practices, and agronomics, sensors, monitors, and control systems

Pay & Benefits: 

Competitive market salary from $120,000 - $140,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
