Job description

The Electrified Powertrain Controls Engineer will serve as a technical leader within the PRC Electrified Propulsion Controls CoE, driving the development strategy, architecture, and delivery of advanced electrified powertrain systems.

The ideal candidate is a recognized expert in control systems with deep knowledge of electrified propulsion, capable of defining system-level strategies across multiple programs.

This role is responsible for defining control architectures, leading complex system integration, and driving innovation in areas such as torque coordination, energy optimization, thermal management, charging strategies, diagnostics, and advanced control approaches.

The most important activities assigned are:

  • Define control strategies and architecture at system/vehicle level
  • Lead development and integration across multiple programs (STLA, BEV, REEV, HEV)
  • Drive complex algorithm design and optimization
  • Ensure robustness through full V-cycle (MIL/SIL/HIL/vehicle)
  • Lead resolution of critical issues and crisis situations
  • Define standards, methods, and best practices
  • Drive innovation (advanced control, AI/optimization approaches)
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching
  • Interface with leadership and global stakeholders
