The Global Market Manager – Industrial is responsible for developing and executing global market strategies that drive sustainable, profitable growth across Americhem's Industrial portfolio, including both established and emerging market segments. As the organization's Industrial market expert, this role identifies where Americhem should compete, how it can win, and what capabilities, technologies, and strategic partnerships are required to accelerate growth within targeted industrial markets.

Working within a matrixed global organization, the Global Market Manager collaborates closely with Business Development, Commercial Leadership, Product Management, Marketing, R&D, Corporate Development (Mergers & Acquisitions), and Operations to align Industrial market opportunities with business objectives and execution plans. • Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and industry disruptions to inform strategic direction and differentiation.
  • Identify high-growth market segments and sub-segments that align with Americhem's capabilities, competitive advantages, and value proposition, and develop targeted growth strategies for each.
  • Develop market entry, expansion, and commercialization strategies for priority verticals, including Defense, Aerospace, Electronics, Energy Storage, and other advanced manufacturing markets.
  • Support Americhem's M&A strategy by identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing acquisition opportunities within targeted markets, providing strategic assessments to strengthen the corporate development pipeline.
  • Lead Voice of Customer (VoC), market intelligence, and competitive analysis initiatives to uncover unmet customer needs, technology trends, and new business opportunities.
  • Partner with Product Management and R&D to translate market insights into product roadmaps, innovation priorities, and portfolio investment decisions.
  • Assess market attractiveness, competitive positioning, investment requirements, and business cases to support strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Development, Product Management, R&D, Marketing, Regional Commercial Teams, and Corporate Development to successfully execute growth strategies.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned market segments, providing strategic guidance that influences customer engagement, commercial decisions, and business planning.
  • Build alignment across global regions and functions to ensure successful execution of segment strategies and achievement of growth objectives.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in industry regulations, certifications, qualification requirements, and market barriers to support successful entry and expansion into emerging markets.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with customers, industry associations, research organizations, and other external stakeholders to accelerate market penetration, innovation, and business growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years in market management, commercial strategy, or segment leadership roles, preferably within the plastics, polymers, or specialty materials industries.
  • Proven success in segment execution, financial analysis, and global collaboration across sales, marketing, and technology functions

  • Demonstrated curiosity and passion for emerging technologies, materials, and end-use applications.
  • Experience evaluating and entering new markets or industry verticals.
