What You Will Do
Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking
forward-thinking HVAC talent to support our fast-growing business across North America.

How You Will Do It
- Service and maintain residential & commercial HVAC equipment, including ducted products, air-cooled & water-cooled chillers, AHUs, and rooftop ducted units
- Perform startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and aftermarket services with precision
- Gain factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA) with recognition, rewards, and advancement opportunities

- Focus on employee safety (#1 priority) and deliver exceptional customer service
- Provide solutions & recommendations for system efficiencies, including upselling opportunities
- Prepare service quotes to support recommendations and JCI's Service Plus Rewards Program
Qualifications
What We Look For
Required:
- Member (or willingness to join) the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing & Pipefitting Industry (AFL-CIO)
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with residential/commercial HVAC systems: chillers, AHUs, rooftop ducted units
- Strong HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting background
- Ability to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, and screw chillers
- Willingness to travel 10-20% for customer startup, commissioning, and service troubleshooting ✈
- Pass a knowledge examination to validate technical proficiencies
- Universal EPA refrigerant license, plus applicable state/local licenses
- Valid driver's license
- Strong communication skills (interpersonal, digital, and written) to document and explain problems, causes, and solutions
- Safety-focused mindset, detail-oriented, and a self-starter with a passion for learning
Preferred:
- Experience providing customer quotes and upselling solutions
- Demonstrated teamwork with other market mechanics
- Commitment to career development through training programs & certifications
