Position Description:
Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer (CNA Network Operations Team)
Team Function:
The Network Operations (NetOps) team operates, maintains, and troubleshoots our global network infrastructure, connecting datacenters, network hubs, manufacturing plants, offices, hosting services, and cloud environments.
 
Skills Required:
  • Cisco Networks
 
Skills Preferred:
  • Network Operations & Support:
    • Provide Level 3 incident, change, and configuration management to restore services and maintain network performance.
    • Offer on-call and escalation-level support for manufacturing networks, datacenters, communication hubs, and global sites.
    • Partner with engineering, planning, client, manufacturing IT, and site IT teams on upgrades and integrations.
  • Technical Implementations:
    • Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Cisco hardware/software (including routers, switches, ROMMON, DNA Center, and Wireless Controllers/APs).
    • Manage routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, OMP, LISP) and Layer 2/3 configurations (VLANs, Ether-Channel, trunking).
    • Support advanced network technologies, including Software-Defined Networking (ACI, SD-Access, SD-WAN) and others.
  • Automation & Diagnostics:
    • Automate manual tasks using scripting.
    • Assist engineers with API development and tools integration to maintain infrastructure.
    • Perform deep-dive diagnostics using packet captures and system logs.
  • Service Management:
    • Document all activities in the ticketing system, manage vendor partners, and communicate progress directly with customers.
    • Track and maintain Network Operations Center (NOC) metrics and KPIs.
    • Lead and support creation of support documentation and knowledge articles.
    • Support and upskill L1 and L2 team members.
 
Experience Required:
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in change and incident management, specifically within a NOC environment.
  • Technical Depth: Deep functional understanding of infrastructure architecture (network, storage, hosting) and Cisco-related routing, switching, and voice/data systems.
  • Leadership & Delivery: Proven track record in global IT delivery, project management, and team building/staff management.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical problem-solving skills, strong multitasking abilities, and exceptional written and oral communication skills (comfortable presenting to all levels of management).
 
Experience Preferred:
  • Experience developing and managing APIs.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent)
  • ITIL (or equivalent)
