Engineering Manager – Houston, TX Deepwater Corrosion Services, Inc.

Deepwater Corrosion Services is a global leader in subsea corrosion control, supporting offshore energy, coastal infrastructure, and renewable assets worldwide. With operations in the U.S., UK, Brazil, and Australia, we design, manufacture, and install advanced cathodic protection systems that extend asset life and reduce risk.

We are seeking a high-impact Engineering Manager to lead our Houston-based engineering and field operations teams and play a key role in driving technical excellence, team development, and project delivery across the U.S. business.

The Role Leadership & Team Development
  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of engineers and field personnel
  • Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
  • Develop internal talent and establish clear goals, training, and career paths
Engineering & Project Delivery
  • Oversee all engineering outputs: designs, calculations, specifications, and documentation
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Set priorities, allocate resources, and manage workloads across multiple projects
  • Review and approve technical deliverables
Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with manufacturing, quality, sales, and operations teams
  • Support bids, proposals, and customer technical discussions
  • Coordinate with global teams to leverage engineering resources
Financial & Business Contribution
  • Forecast engineering resources and manage departmental budgets
  • Support business development and contribute to winning proposals
  • Understand project financials and drive efficiency
Product Development & Continuous Improvement
  • Guide product lifecycle from concept through deployment and improvement
  • Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and root cause analysis
  • Improve engineering processes, tools, and systems
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field
  • 7+ years of experience, including leadership responsibility
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Strong background in corrosion engineering / cathodic protection (required)
  • Experience with tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PDM/PLM systems
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver complex engineering projects
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Bonus: NACE / AMPP certifications
