Job description

The University of Pittsburgh's Global Experiences Office (GEO) is seeking a Program Manager for Global Experiences
The position is primarily responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of academic and experiential global programs. This position will support the development, budgeting, and contracting of new semester, summer, and short-term global programs and experiential learning opportunities abroad. This position is also responsible for the maintenance of existing programs and redevelopment where necessary. The program manager is expected to work across different University units, including the Global Experiences Office, University Center for International Studies, and Pittsburgh campus schools and regional campuses. The individual must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and have experience working with diverse teams.
Primary duties of the position include:
  • Managing student recruitment, advising, and application processes
  • Program budget development, creating and managing vendor contracts
  • Implementing pre-departure preparation and learning activities, and on-program support for faculty and students.
