Y7 Studio is a yoga experience that blends vinyasa flow, music, heat, and darkness to deepen the connection between mind and body. Classes are held in infrared-heated rooms (80–90°F), designed to promote detoxification, circulation, and flexibility. Sessions are music-driven and conducted in a dark, candlelit environment with no mirrors to encourage inward focus and personal practice.

Position: Studio Caretaker (Part-Time)

Role Overview

The Studio Caretaker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards across the studio. This includes routine cleaning, restocking, basic maintenance support, and ensuring all spaces meet Y7’s operational standards. The role also includes client-facing interaction and may require covering emergency shifts as needed.


Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Facility Maintenance

  • Dust and polish all surfaces, including windowsills, baseboards, furniture, mirrors, partitions, tiles, fixtures, and signage
  • High-dust ceilings, vents, fans, beams, pipes, and upper walls using appropriate tools
  • Remove cobwebs from corners, ledges, and high areas
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors, carpets, rugs, and mats
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, showers, sinks, toilets, and locker room facilities
  • Squeegee and polish glass surfaces (interior and exterior)
  • Clean mirrors, shelving, dispensers, and all fixtures
  • Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners
  • Sanitize high-touch surfaces including door handles, switches, and push plates
  • Replace light bulbs and report maintenance issues
  • Launder and properly store towels and cleaning materials
  • Clean mats and surrounding wall areas
  • Ensure studios, lobbies, entrances, sidewalks, and training areas remain clean and presentable
  • Clean reception and office spaces to Y7 standards
  • Stock locker rooms and refresh areas with necessary supplies
Operations & Reporting
  • Upload required photos of studio areas via Jobber after each shift
  • Ensure accurate clock-in/out and GPS tracking for verification
  • Report unsafe conditions or issues requiring escalation
  • Follow all operational checklists and cleaning standards
Client Experience
  • Greet and acknowledge clients, guests, and members upon arrival
  • Maintain a welcoming, clean, and professional studio environment
Additional Duties
  • Perform assigned tasks as directed by management
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and functional
  • Provide shift coverage when available or required
Requirements:

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Passion for fitness, wellness, and community spaces
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Availability for at least 3 shifts per week, including 1 weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday)
  • Availability for occasional emergency shifts
  • Ability to secure coverage when unable to attend scheduled shifts
  • Strong communication skills (in-person, email, and phone)
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and kneel for extended periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and consistent attendance
