Job Description
Provide technical leadership for complex projects and complex troubleshooting. Design and coordinate third-party engineering companies to provide manufacturing support systems for glass manufacturing facilities. Provide technical support for construction project development, design, planning, implementation and renovations. Provide operating and maintenance support of the applicable systems to the facilities. Review of new technology for glass manufacturing systems.
This is a hybrid role in Perrysburg, Ohio
Responsibilities:
  • Provide or coordinate with third-party engineering companies, applicable engineering construction drawings of noted systems with engineering designs that meet the customer needs and standards / codes applicable to the customers country in a cost-effective manner.
  • Provide on-site technical leadership for capital infrastructure projects, overseeing installation, commissioning, startup, and system performance verification.
  • General technical understanding in gas systems, water treatment systems, cooling air systems
  • General technical understanding of raw material handling systems
  • Provide technical expertise, project management oversite and leadership to third party engineering firms responsible for material handling project scope, design, and installation of the projects.
  • Provide leadership to CAD designers to create effective economical drawing construction packages.
  • Provide support to corporate procurement involving equipment specifications, quoting, technical reviews of quote comparisons, vendor and company / national account initiatives.
  • Provide department management with budget and scheduling requirements on all internal and third-party engineering projects.
  • Provide on-site management of system construction, modification and troubleshooting.
  • Provide input to Manufacturing for capital funding on systems to meet company long-term goals and needs and infrastructure support.
  • Provide technical assistance conducting facility audits.
  • Provide technical investigation of system and equipment failure root cause analysis incorporating corrective actions.
  • Provide Interpersonal and communication skills required to establish and maintain positive working relationships applicable in a global environment.

Travel:
10-20% based on the project
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 yrs of experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Tools; AutoCAD; Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • English language - fluent & advanced
  • Knowledge of glass manufacturing process and related systems, preferred
  • Professional Engineer, preferred
  • LSS GB, or BB, preferred

Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position will be between $100,000 - $120,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
