Job Summary
The candidate will be supporting Data Governance to build and maintain Geographic Information System (GIS) applications supporting transportation asset management and data governance programs.
Required Qualifications
Education
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study

Required Experience
  • ArcGIS for Desktop experience (5 years)
  • Editing and maintaining data in a GIS environment (3 years)
  • Python or similar scripting experience (1 year)
    • ArcPy knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities
GIS Application Development & Support
  • Develop and support GIS-based data collection applications
    • Create feature classes
    • Create related tables
    • Publish map services

Enterprise GIS Support
  • Support enterprise GIS implementation
  • Develop and maintain feature classes

System & Technical Support
  • Provide direct support for various CADD/GIS software and hardware systems
  • Perform software testing and routine maintenance
  • Assist with phone and online problem reporting
  • Maintain problem report records
  • Monitor system status and data integrity

Data & Analytics
  • Create dashboards utilizing analytic BI and geospatial tools
  • Maintain data backups and data archives
  • Provide data retrieval from backup
  • Develop data models
  • Support data governance activities as assigned

Scripting & Documentation
  • Provide support for Python scripting
  • Develop Technical Requirements Specification documents to support application development
  • Create and update technical manuals and guides based on business needs
