Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a GIS / ArcFM Support Specialist position for our client in Anchorage, AK. This is a 12-month onsite contract role supporting day-to-day GIS production operations while internal teams focus on project initiatives.

Overview:
We are seeking a GIS / ArcFM Support Specialist to provide production support for GIS and ArcFM applications in a utility environment. This role will focus on troubleshooting user issues, maintaining GIS data integrity, supporting system stability, and ensuring timely resolution of support tickets. Candidates should have strong ArcFM and Esri ArcGIS experience, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational support environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide production support for GIS and ArcFM applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues, defects, and system problems
  • Perform GIS data maintenance, updates, and QA/QC activities
  • Support versioning, reconciliation, and posting workflows
  • Track and manage support tickets to ensure timely issue resolution
  • Maintain GIS operational stability and support utility mapping workflows
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support ongoing GIS operations

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of GIS support experience
  • Hands-on experience with ArcFM and Esri ArcGIS
  • Strong troubleshooting and GIS data management skills
  • Experience working in utility environments (electric utility preferred)
  • Ability to work onsite in Anchorage, AK
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ArcGIS Enterprise experience
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or Jira
  • Python or scripting experience

Education:

  • Associate’s Degree or College Diploma in GIS, Information Technology, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
