What is giggles?

The term 'giggles' is not a standard job title in most professional settings. In some companies, it could be a playful way to describe someone in charge of employee engagement or team building. However, for most formal job searches, 'giggles' is not recognized as a traditional or widely understood position.

Do you love baby giggles, tiny socks, and celebrating every little milestone? If you can turn tummy time into a party, and bottles into bonding moments, then we want YOU on our team!
Newark Day Nursery and Children's Center (NDNCC) is a NAEYC accredited childcare center. Our mission is to education all children regardless of household income.
As an Infant Teacher, you’ll care for and nurture our littlest learners (ages 6 weeks-12 months), and create a warm, safe, and loving environment where babies can grow, explore, and thrive – one cuddle at a time!
What You’ll Be Doing:
·         Providing lots of love, care, and attention (snuggles included!)
·         Assuring all programs and activities are challenging, interesting, and developmentally appropriate
·         Supporting feeding, diapering, and nap routines
·         Creating a calm, engaging classroom environment
·         Talking, singing, reading to babies throughout the day, and participating in all activities
·         Celebrating milestones like first smiles, rolls, and steps
·         Partnering with families to share updates and build trust
·         Learning each child in the classroom and familiarizing yourself with medical issues, dietary restrictions, and habits
·         Completing all written work as required, including lesson plans, children’s assessments, meal counts, and injury reports
·         Communicating positively and professionally with all NDNCC staff, and working as part of a team
·         Agreeing to and abiding by the NAEYC Code of Ethics and supporting accreditation practices
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
·         Has a passion for Early Childhood Education
·         Is at least 18 years of age
·         Is patient, nurturing, and dependable
·         Communicates well with both babies and adults
·         Holds an Assistant Teacher or Teacher certification by DEEDs
·         Is physically able to adequately care for, lift, carry, and interact with children up to 50 pounds This includes running, squatting, pushing, and pulling equipment and furniture as needed
·         Has a clean background check
·         Has both a health appraisal and negative TB test conducted by a licensed medical professional
What We Offer:
·         100% paid in full health coverage, or an additional $4500 to your annual salary if health coverage is waived
·         Dental insurance, vision coverage, long-term disability, retirement plans, and a generous PTO package
·         A supportive, fun, loving team environment
·         Daily smiles, giggles, and heart-melting moments
If you love the sound of baby laughter and you are ready to make a difference every day, we’d love to meet you!
Apply today and help us nurture the next generation – one tiny human at a time!
