Job description

Join our corporate sales team - at the movies! We mean that literally, as your office will overlook the lobby at our Majestic Cinema of Brookfield Theatre off Springdale Road in Waukesha.

The Sales Coordinator is part of a two-person team responsible for supporting Marcus Theatres product sales, including gift cards, discount tickets, Marcus Passports, platinum tickets, merchandise, fundraising programs, and student motivation programs.

This role is responsible for end-to-end order fulfillment while delivering high-level customer service and supporting sales growth. The Sales Coordinator partners closely with our Guest Service team, field theatre teams, and internal corporate teams to support both customer needs and operational execution across multiple systems.

This position is based out of  the Majestic Cinema in Waukesha, WI and is an in-office role.

This is a full-time position, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break. Flexibility is required for overtime opportunities, occasional weekends during peak sales periods, some holidays, and during major promotions.

This position is part of the Operations team at Marcus Theatres and reports directly to the Director of Retail Sales & Guest Service.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for order fulfillment of Gift Cards, Movie Tickets, Concession Packages, Student Motivation Passes, Merchandise, Passport Vouchers and more;
  • Processes, monitors, and facilitates all orders through the entire order fulfillment process using multiple programs;
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and shared inboxes with a high level of service;
  • Responsible for managing multiple Shared Email inboxes and phone lines;
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve order issues, including missing, damaged, or potentially fraudulent transactions in collaboration with internal teams (Accounting, Security, etc.);
  • Partner closely with the Guest Service team to support customer needs and provide backup coverage;
  • Assist with the fundraising ticket sales program. Help promote and explain the fundraising program to inquiring guests. Ship sales material out to participants and fulfill orders as they come in;
  • Support execution of our student motivation program, including communication and fulfillment;
  • Responsible for invoicing all sales department products and collection of delinquent accounts;
  • Assist in maintaining weekly and period-end sales inventory;
  • Report writing, running, and distribution to multiple parties;
  • Follow-up on missing or damaged shipments and log and submit FedEx claims;
  • Assist with overall team needs and special projects as directed by the Director;

What we are looking for: 

  • Possess strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills by communicating clearly and effectively;
  • Demonstrate strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills;
  • Ability to communicate and build relationships with corporate staff, theatre associates and outside organizations;
  • Willingness to work overtime during occasional weekends, peak sales periods, some holidays, and during major promotions.
  • Possess strong organizational skills; ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities;
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and open to additional assignments as needed;
  • Think strategically, yet creatively;
  • Possess strong project management skills and is detail-oriented;
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, with the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets;
  • One to three (1-3) years of previous experience in sales, customer service or retail;
