DEPARTMENT OF GASTROENTEROLOGY
OCHSNER HEALTH - NEW ORLEANS REGION
Supported by health system growth, the Department of Gastroenterology at Ochsner Health - New Orleans Region is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible GASTROENTEROLOGIST to join its practice at our Jefferson Highway Campus as a GI HOSPITALIST.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE POSITION:

Focus on inpatient, consultative and procedural, GI care

Procedures to include EGD, colonoscopy, enteroscopy, PEGs - ability or willingness to learn deep enteroscopy preferred

Schedule: 7 on / 7 off; or 14 on / 14 off

Academic position at teaching hospital with GI fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical students

GI fellows always assigned to inpatient GI consultative team and take 1st call

Separate inpatient hepatology and advanced endoscopy teams

Join a highly collegial, 25-physician group comprised of general gastroenterologists, hepatologists, GI subspecialists, and advanced endoscopists

24/7 reliable hospitalists onsite

Strong support from collaborative specialties, including surgery, oncology, radiology, and GI pathology

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range 525-600K, commensurate with experience and training
