Facility:
This 357-bed tertiary referral center features a state-of-the-art Digestive Health Center with a dedicated outpatient endoscopy unit and side-by-side clinic housing 8 endoscopy suites. The facility, which opened a new hospital in July 2023, maintains a University of Minnesota medical school affiliation and offers teaching, research, and outreach opportunities within a physician-led, integrated healthcare delivery system serving a regional population of approximately 490,000.

Physician - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
  • Gastroenterology section is seeking an Advanced Endoscopist as part of a planned expansion
  • Expertise in bariatric endoscopy and/or ESD are preferred
  • Current group consists of seven physicians including 6 general and one advanced endoscopy Gastroenterologist working in a 100% consultative practice
  • Eleven NPs/PAs and six General GI Physicians support outpatient management of IBS, IBD, liver disease, and the inpatient GI consultation service
  • All GI hospital admissions are managed by an IM hospitalist service; GI functions as a consultative service
  • Currently offered procedures include ERCP, SpyGlass Cholangioscopy, EUS (diagnostic and therapeutic), RFA, cryotherapy, EMR, and enteral stenting
  • Latest model Olympus endoscopes, EUS processors, and Omega fixed table fluoroscopy unit available
  • Position accommodates subspecialty interests and provides a 1:3 call schedule
  • Flexible FTE options available
  • Teaching, research, and outreach opportunities available
  • BC/BE in Gastroenterology required
  • Advanced GI Fellowship required
