The Berlin Business Office USA is seeking a U.S. Talent Manager (full-time) to join their team of international business development professionals in New York. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about talent acquisition. The role involves both attracting U.S. talent to Berlin and supporting Berlin-based companies, industry associations and research institutions in their talent search in the U.S. The position offers great career development opportunities.

About us:

The Berlin Business Office USA (BBO) presents and promotes the tech ecosystem of Germany's capital in the U.S. It works to deepen economic relations between the U.S. and Berlin by helping U.S. companies do business in Berlin and Berlin companies enter or expand in the U.S. The BBO is part of the Berlin Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises.

Task and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and attract U.S. talent for Berlin
  • Provide guidance on effective ways for Berlin-based companies and stakeholders to identify and connect with talent in the U.S.
  • Expand the network of the Berlin Business Office into various talent ecosystems across the U.S.
  • Conduct talent research and provide talent intelligence on the U.S. market
  • Identify industry specific talent opportunities and networks while representing the Berlin Business Office at talent-related events, fairs, and conferences throughout the U.S.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with partners across the U.S.
  • Embrace the chance to travel to various locations for talent development and networking, adding a global perspective to your role.
  • Organize events to attract talent
  • Connect with stakeholders and relevant players in talent-related topics in Berlin
  • Report directly to the Managing Director of the Berlin Business Office USA

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, human resources or international business development, of 2+ years
  • Experience of the U.S. Market, specifically in talent acquisition or recruitment
  • Experience of the German Market, specifically in talent acquisition or recruitment is recommended
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners and companies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills verbal and written
  • Strong strategy development and presentation abilities
  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets
  • A hands-on problem solver who thrives in dynamic and fast-paced environments
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Enthusiasm for travel and an understanding of the value it brings to relationship-building
  • Fluency and exceptional communication skills in English
  • Fluency in German is recommended
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant business tools (MS Office, Webdesign etc.)
  • High competence in Social Media
  • Existing work authorization for the U.S.
