Job description

Inventory Control Associate โ€“ Cycle Counter

This position is responsible for conducting cycle counts throughout the facility; ensuring inventory is accurate and resolving discrepancies which may arise.

Functions of the job:

  • Count and verify accuracy of product in assigned inventory locations using RF scanner equipment.
  • Assist in reconciling variances brought forth through cycle counting.
  • Resolve discrepancies which arise during cycle counts, by way of product transfer, relocation, or removing/replacing damaged items.
  • Re-box damaged cartons found in inventory locations, utilizing raw materials/boxes to rework and label maker to reprint carton labels.
  • Actively implement 5S principles during cycle counting process (Sort, Straighten, Sustain, Sweep, Standardize).
  • Conducts searches in order to locate misclassified inventory.
  • Ability to use computer to perform cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
  • Observe and follow safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

  1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, walk, and lift cartons up to 25 lbs.

Position qualification requirements

Education/experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ year of prior warehouse experience preferred, related to inventory control.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work closely with a large, fast-paced team.
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention-to-detail.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
