OVERVIEW:
Gerber Childrenswear LLC is in Summerville, Sc, is currently seeking equipment operators to join our team. Gerber Childrenswear a leading marketer of infant and toddler apparel and related products. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Equipment Operator safely and efficiently operates all forms of operations machinery including but not limited to cherry pickers, forklifts, reach-lifts, and electric pallet jacks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
  • Safely operate a stand-up reach truck in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Utilize RF scanners and the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to complete inventory transactions accurately.
  • Put away inbound inventory into designated rack locations.
  • Replenish pick locations to ensure product availability for order fulfillment.
  • Retrieve pallets from reserve storage to support warehouse operations.
  • Accurately scan all product movements to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Verify product quantities, locations, lot numbers, and item information.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL/VISUAL ACTIVITIES OR DEMANDS:
Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, walk, lift, carry, reach, push, pull, and able to lift to up to 50 lbs.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically able to lift cartons of product, of up to 50 lbs.
