Job Description

The Associate Director Launch/Pre Launch Forecasting Lead is responsible for driving the forecast strategy for key oncology assets. This role sits within the larger Global Insights and Analytics organization in the Oncology Business Unit (OBU) and is responsible for working with stakeholders (including Global/US Marketing, Market Access, etc) to deliver short-range, mid-range and long-range forecasts and relevant strategic insights to drive the business.

How you will contribute
  • Develop and maintain global and US strategic forecasts for key oncology assets
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Access, Medical colleagues as well as I&A team members to make sure relevant market insights are incorporated into the forecast
  • Lead the consensus-building process to gain alignment and/or endorsement for forecast assumptions
  • Leverage advanced analytics and integrate data available across multiple sources to enhance our understanding of market impact of the assets
  • Implement best-in-class forecast modeling approaches and actively evaluate current forecasting processes/methodologies for opportunities to enhance capabilities, with a focus on accuracy and agility
  • Triangulate and pressure-test assumptions with various data sources and models, and develop what-if scenarios
  • Provide context and forecasting leadership to cross-functional partners (e.g., Finance, Supply, Trade) to ensure the potential impact of commercial strategies are planned for
Basic Requirements/Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree (Advanced degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in forecasting, finance, and/or business analytics in the biopharmaceutical industry. Experience in oncology required
  • Experience with advanced spreadsheets, patient based forecast modeling including dynamic patient models
  • Experience with quantitative techniques including smoothing, regression, time series analyses, and simulation
  • Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Prior launch experience preferred
  • Hands‑on experience running complex forecasting models required
  • Experience working in a highly‑matrixed environment
  • Strong project management skills—ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple projects efficiently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to stakeholders in simple language and lead/drive consensus building
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to think strategically
  • Broad working knowledge of commonly used biopharmaceutical industry databases
  • Working knowledge of global access and reimbursement policies, competitive environment and potential impact on product development and commercialization strategy

Compensation & Benefits Summary

U.S. Base Salary Range: $154,400.00 - $242,550.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term and/or long‑term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well‑being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
