TheFabric Cutter - Gerber Operator position is located in Claremont, NC.
You'll be excited about this opportunity because you will....

  • Check that correct fabric is brought out and check for shade variations and any other defects prior to cutting.
  • Be responsible for straightness, fabric repeat issues and other issues related to correct fabric appearance on the finished piece.
  • Be responsible for spreading and cutting fabric in the most economical way.
  • Tagging and separating the cover for distribution to sewing department.

  • At least 3 years of experience in fabric cutting for upper end upholstered furniture.
  • Experience reading and understanding production tickets.
  • Ability to interpret simple cutting instructions commonly placed in a cutting manual.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.

We prefer some of these qualities as well....

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Team-oriented personality.
  • Experience working with the Gerber 2500.
  • Experience in Flow Matching.
