The Lead Software Engineer will advance the capabilities of the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) and Commander, Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command (CNMOC) by developing, integrating, and administering software applications at NASA's Stennis Space Center, and all tasking is performed on-site.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related IT or geospatial degree

  • Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance prior to start.

  • 7-10 + years' experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DoD (e.g., T5 / TS/SCI)

  • Secutity + Certification

  • Experience with AWS and container platforms

  • Knowledge of RDBMS databases such as PostgreSQL

  • Experience with Cybersecurity best practices and DISA STIG checklists

  • Strong background in working with Meteorology and Oceanography Data

  • Experienced in ESRI Technologies such as Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro / Desktop tools and ESRI Workflow Manager.
