We are seeking a Geospatial Analyst with 2–3 years of experience specializing in LiDAR data processing and extraction for electrical utility applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with transmission and distribution corridor data, utilizing MicroStation and PLS-CADD to support engineering and asset management workflows.
Key Responsibilities
• Process, classify, and analyze LiDAR point cloud data for electric transmission and distribution projects
• Extract utility features such as conductors, poles, towers, and vegetation encroachment
• Develop geospatial deliverables using MicroStation and PLS-CADD
• Support engineering modeling workflows by preparing data for line design and analysis
• Perform QA/QC on LiDAR-derived datasets and mapping products
• Generate planimetric and 3D mapping deliverables
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and analysts
• Maintain organized project files and adhere to standards
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Science, GIS, Surveying, or related field
• 2–3 years of experience in geospatial analysis or LiDAR processing
• Experience working with LiDAR datasets
• Proficiency with MicroStation and PLS-CADD
• Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting electrical utilities (transmission/distribution)
• Familiarity with vegetation management workflows
• Experience with TerraScan, ArcGIS, or similar tools
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, VBA)
