What does a geography intern do?

A Geography Intern assists professional geographers and related staff with research, data collection, mapping, and analysis projects. Their tasks often include gathering geographic or spatial data, using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software, preparing reports, and supporting fieldwork. What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a geography intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Geography Intern, you need foundational knowledge of geographic concepts, data analysis, and map interpretation, often gained through coursework in geography or related fields.
