Job Summary:

This role supports the Business Analyst team by documenting existing systems, updating functional specifications, and navigating system workflows. It requires strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills to manage business analysis, define requirements, build test plans, and coordinate stakeholders. The position also involves leading projects and Business Analyst teams, developing policies and procedures, and translating legacy systems into Geographic Solutions platforms. Familiarity with unemployment insurance, labor market systems, and job services is essential. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and sound judgment are key to success under general supervision.

THIS IS CURRENTLY A HYBRID POSITION. ย CANDIDATE MUST WILLING TO WORK AT THE CORPORATE OFFICE IN PALM HARBOR, FL. MINIMUM OF 2 DAYS A WEEK.ย 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Business Analyst team with documenting the existing as-is system navigating various paths through the system, capturing screen shots, and updating functional specifications as needed
  • Analyze business and user needs, document requirements and translate both into proper specifications/Agile Requirements Document (ARD) for each project
  • Coordinate and meet with clients and business leaders, as well as work closely with software architects and development teams to identify and document the direction, scope, and dependencies of the project
  • Translate business requirements into concise system requirements for use by the software architects and development teams
  • Understanding multiple functional areas related to complex projects and the ability to identify and quantify business process improvements along with system improvements using technology is critical
  • Foster productive communication between technical and non-technical audiences to ensure that technology solutions fulfil business needs. Responsibilities includeย 
  • Identify, document and diagram business requirements and processes
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and practices
  • Participate in preparing and conducting system demonstrations for existing and/or potential clients
  • Collaborate with Proposal Team to assist with responses for proposal, responses for information and boiler plates
  • Manage queue workload, adhere to acceptable timelines, provide current updates and estimated time of arrival (ETA) for assigned tasks in the Online Project Communicator (OPC)
  • Assist with validation and testing of interfaces written to the design specificationย 

Requirements

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Possess basic knowledge of both project management and the software development lifecycle (SDLC) of large-scale development projects
  • Less than 2 years of Business Analyst experience or equivalent combination of education and technical or industry experience (Workforce, UI, Adult Ed, Vocational Rehabilitation, etc.) in relationship to development and implementation of software solutions
  • SQL server skills are a plus
  • Possess core skills such as critical thinking, communication, and Problem solving
  • Basic understanding of how to track data through the database as it relates to the application and when required federal reporting requirements
  • Possess a general understanding of application programming, database, and system design
  • Understanding of Internet, Intranet, Extranet, and client/server architectures
  • Ability to analyze system requirements relative to the base software functionality and configuration
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Word and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with attention to detail

Qualifications / Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience preferred

Special Requirements:

  • Maybe required travel to visit client sites, attend National Conferences and/or assist in Marketing presentations which are assigned by Manager when appropriate
  • May also be assigned various projects and tasks as needed.
