Job description

Lab Assistant

Under direct supervision, the Lab Assistant provides accessioning/processing service, utilizes appropriate equipment, receive, accession/, process pathology and laboratory specimens, as well as provide laboratory information and reports to customers. Assists in the training and monitoring of co-workers, students, and other hospital staff.

Education: HS Diploma Experience: 6 months related Laboratory accessioning experience Skills:• Knowledge of medical terminology• Skill in oral and written communication• Skill in utilizing customer service techniques• Skill in performing basic arithmetic• Skills in using a computer and personal productivity applications• Ability to type

Patient & Workplace Safety:

  • Employee has knowledge and understanding of patient and workforce safety as it relates to job duties.

Patient Population:

  • Demonstrates competency in the delivery of care and applies the knowledge to meet age-specific needs if applicable.

Pay Range

$17.30 - $25.11

Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
