Description
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is recruiting a medical geneticist to join the Division of Clinical Genetics a rapidly growing clinical service which encompasses pediatric genetics, adult genetics, cancer genetics, and metabolic genetics.
The University of Rochester is the major genetics service provider in Upstate New York. Our highly successful and active primary clinical programs include a New York State-designated Clinic of Inborn Metabolic Disorders, an In-patient Genetics Consultative Service, and a number of collaborative clinical programs, such as Ocular Genetics and Craniofacial Genetics, with additional links to every service. The Division has robust education programs that cater to a variety of trainees, as well as ongoing research efforts, including gene therapy and clinical interventional trials. We are also home to a Masters in Genetic Counseling Program.
With the continued expansion of our clinical, academic, and research programs, we will be able to accommodate a wide range of career interests, including laboratory or clinical research. Clinician-scientist candidates are also welcome. Although an academic center where research is encouraged, candidates with purely clinical/educational interests are also welcome to apply.

Qualifications
The position will entail an academic appointment at the Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor level commensurate with experience. Interested applicants should have an MD or equivalent degree and be BC/BE in Medical Genetics (Clinical Genetics and/or Clinical Biochemical Genetics) and be eligible for licensure in the State of New York.
