Summary

The Genesis Financial Consultants is an independent financial services practice of Thrivent Financial. We take a broad-based approach to helping our clients achieve multiple financial goals. The Genesis Financial Consultants help our clients analyze their current situation, develop in-depth financial programs, and help them implement an integrated financial strategy.
Thrivent Financial is a faith-based, not-for-profit financial services organization with approximately 2.6 million clients. As the nation's largest fraternal benefit society, we're here solely to help others. We help every day through the financial solutions we offer, the client activities we support, and the resources we provide to the Christian community and nonprofit organizations.
Position summary:
This position provides approximately 30 hours per week of administrative support to Michael Buric and The Genesis Financial Consultants. This role is critical to our client experience and requires a friendly, upbeat demeanor. This individual will support the daily operations of the practice, including, but not limited to: answering the phones, meeting/greeting clients, handling/distributing mail and practice email, ordering supplies, utilizing Thrivent Financial computer systems and programs in support of client relations, and other administrative tasks as assigned. The role reports to and is employed by The Genesis Financial Consultants
Pay Range
$22-30/hr

Job Description

Position Roles/Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Handles incoming telephone calls toand responds to requests forinformation
  • Performs routine administrative duties such as maintaining office supplies, data entry of information,and processingmail
  • Prepares routine correspondence, reports, and specialprojects
  • Supports projects, administration of various programs, and processing functions asneeded
  • Drive client facing activity in the practice by scheduling meetings with clientson behalf of the practice's Financial Advisors
  • Update the contact management system with client contact and preferenceinformation
  • Assist Financial Advisors in preparation and follow upofclientmeetings
  • Provides back-up support on tasks that do not require any type of licensing or registration for other staff members, asneeded
  • Completes other miscellaneous tasks asassigned

Position Qualifications

  • Previous administrative/secretarial experience desired
  • Licensing NOT required, opportunities for licensing available
  • Strong technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or ability tolearn
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequentinterruptions
  • Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/ confidentialinformation
  • Committed to communicating and providing exceptional customer service
  • Basic understanding of our products,services, and Thrivent Financial
