Job description

Midtown Tulsa Shop Seeking a Power Generation Assembler
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Assembler II to join a Power Generation assembly team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in generator assembly, instrumentation, and control panels, with familiarity in internal combustion engines and natural gas–fired engine systems. This role involves assembling genset packages, performing electro-mechanical work, and working from complex documentation to produce high-quality, precise assemblies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble genset packages according to standard procedures and manufacturing documentation.
  • Perform complex and precise electro-mechanical assembly work.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and machinery used in structural and engine assembly.
  • Work from detailed manufacturing documentation, blueprints, and/or verbal and written instructions.
  • Follow production schedules and complete tasks within standard times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in instrumentation and control panel assembly preferred.
  • Knowledge of internal combustion engines or generators preferred.
  • Experience with natural gas–fired engines and related systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with electrical and instrumentation (I&E) work is beneficial.
  • Ability to read and follow complex manufacturing documentation and instructions.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • High mechanical aptitude and basic electrical/instrumentation knowledge.
  • Vocational or high school training in automotive mechanics helpful but not required.
  • Proficient in the use of mechanic hand tools and power hoists.
  • Ability to read precision measuring instruments, instruction manuals, and assembly drawings accurately.

Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, grip, squeeze, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Fine finger manipulation and use of hand tools required.

Personal Protective Equipment
  • Eye protection (goggles, face shield, or safety glasses) required.
  • Steel toe safety shoes/boots required.

Work Environment
  • Warehouse or production environment.
  • Exposure to elements such as noise, dust, heat, cold, odors, or chemicals may occur.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime as needed)
