Construction Project Manager

Vine Homes Construction – San Francisco/Peninsula

About Us

Vine Homes Construction is a well-established construction company specializing in luxury custom homes, major renovations, and high-end residential projects throughout Napa Valley, San Francisco, and the Peninsula. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects on time, within budget, and with an unwavering commitment to safety, craftsmanship, and client satisfaction. As we continue to grow, we're seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Construction Project Manager to oversee a wide range of construction projects from pre-construction planning through final handover. You will lead project teams, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, and ensure every project meets our high standards for quality, safety, and profitability. Experience managing luxury residential projects, custom homes, and high-end renovations is highly preferred. This is a field-based/hybrid position supporting projects throughout San Francisco and the Peninsula and at our Napa Valley office as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all phases of construction projects, from initial client meetings and permitting to closeout and punch-list completion
  • Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans; track progress and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on time and within budget
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors — including bidding, contract negotiation, and performance oversight
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor quality, safety compliance, and progress; address issues promptly
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, inspectors, and stakeholders — providing clear updates and managing expectations
  • Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal building codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety protocols
  • Prepare and present progress reports, cost forecasts, change orders, and RFIs
  • Identify and mitigate project risks; resolve conflicts and problems effectively
  • Mentor and lead on-site teams to foster a collaborative, high-performance environment

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar role managing construction projects (residential, commercial, or mixed)
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and safety regulations
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Autodesk Build, Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills — able to work effectively with diverse teams, clients, and stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, scheduling, and change order management
  • OSHA 30-hour certification (or willingness to obtain shortly after hire)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits
  • PMP, CCM, or LEED certification is a plus

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Experience managing projects valued from $1M–$20M+
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices and modern construction technologies (e.g., BIM, drones, AI-assisted scheduling)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a calm, decisive approach under pressure

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience ($150,000–$200,000+)
  • Performance bonuses and profit-sharing opportunities
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off, holidays, and company vehicle (or mileage reimbursement)
  • Professional development support and career growth opportunities
  • Opportunity to work on exceptional residential projects throughout San Francisco, the Peninsula, and Napa Valley

If you're a results-driven leader passionate about building excellence and ready to make an impact, we want to hear from you! Please submit your resume, a brief cover letter outlining your relevant project experience, and references.
