Job description

REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager
TYPE: Seasonal, Non-Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Warehouse
About Generation Tux
Generation Tux is looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Seasonal Tailor to join our alterations team this season! Our team plays an important role in making sure every garment meets the high-quality standards we're known for.
This position focuses on simple tailoring tasks such as pant hems, small garment repairs, and telescopic jacket sleeve adjustments.
What You'll Do
  • Measure garments accurately to meet required lengths
  • Label customer garments and record alteration needs
  • Use sewing machines to adjust pant hems and jacket hems
  • Adjust telescopic sleeves on jackets for proper fit
  • Replace buttons, mend pockets, linings, and perform small repairs
  • Use irons and pressing equipment to remove creases from garments
  • Ensure sewing machines and equipment are kept in good working order
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by management
What We're Looking For
  • Patience, attention to detail, and pride in your work
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable sitting or standing throughout the workday
  • Sewing experience preferred, but not required-we will train the right person!

Requirements
Acerca de Generation Tux
Generation Tux busca un/a sastre de temporada enérgico/a y detallista para unirse a nuestro equipo de arreglos esta temporada. Nuestro equipo desempeña un papel fundamental para garantizar que cada prenda cumpla con los altos estándares de calidad que nos caracterizan.
Este puesto se centra en tareas sencillas de sastrería, como dobladillos de pantalones, pequeños arreglos y ajustes de mangas telescópicas de chaquetas.
Qué harás
  • Medir las prendas con precisión para cumplir con los largos requeridos
  • Etiquetar las prendas del cliente y registrar las modificaciones necesarias
  • Usar máquinas de coser para ajustar los dobladillos de pantalones y chaquetas
  • Ajustar las mangas telescópicas de las chaquetas para un ajuste perfecto
  • Reemplazar botones, remendar bolsillos, forros y realizar pequeñas reparaciones
