Job description

General Superintendent

Our client is a fast growing utility contractor. They provide underground water, sewer, storm, and duct-bank systems for commercial clients. As General Superintendent you own field execution for large scale utility projects, leading multiple superintendents and several crews to complete projects on time and under budget.


Performance Objectives
  • Deliver underground utility projects on schedule and within budget while maintaining a safe work place.
  • Stand up and lead 3–5 superintendents and 50-100+ craft workers
  • Coordinate daily with owners, engineers, and city inspectors to resolve conflicts in under 24 hours and protect customer relationships.
  • Drive weekly production meetings that identify and close schedule gaps before they become delays.
  • Coach superintendents on crew leadership, safety culture, and cost control


Environment & Resources

You report to the COO and work on within 3 hours of DFW.


Essential Qualifications
  • 7+ years running underground utility crews (water, sewer, storm, duct bank) with at least 3 years as a general superintendent.
  • Proven record of finishing commercial utility jobs on time, on budget, and incident-free.
  • Ability to read plans, manage multiple crews, and hold productive conversations with inspectors, PM's, and owners.
