The Leffell School is a cutting-edge Kโ€“12 Jewish independent school serving more than 850 students on two campuses in Westchester County, NY, 30 minutes north of New York City. We are seeking a Second Grade General Studies teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.


Position Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated General Studies professional who will engage and inspire students, foster strong communication with parents and colleagues, and contribute to our mission of developing students to become responsible, honest, compassionate, and respectful citizens.


Responsibilities:

โ€ข Teach language arts, reading, writing, and math

โ€ข Support students' learning in specific content areas and skill development

โ€ข Organize and lead small group instruction for students with proven ability to grasp math and apply math concepts quickly

โ€ข Use project-based teaching skills

โ€ข Collaborate with other classroom teachers
